Luckily, the R.A.T.S had purchased Headsplitter to erm... split some heads. He split a few, but not enough to make up for the early removals. After a failed one-turn attempt, the score was 3-2 in favor of the Elves at the end of the first half. The teams were weary, but the R.A.T.S made another quick score, followed by a quick response by the Elves, and a blitz for them. There was a bit of a scuffle for the ball, and just as one of the gutter runners thought he had a path cleared to threaten a score, he rolled double 1s on a needless dodge to turn over the ball. The Mighty Quins picked up the ball and sealed the game with another TD. It was a game with a lot of armor breaks, and quite a few double 1s on both sides. A suitable coach was found for the first half but unfortunately for the fans, it was a Dwarven coach. The first half consisted of High Society receiving the ball and methodically marching down field to stall until the last possible minute. The joke was on them though, for they kicked to the Buddies who promptly scored a one turn TD. The half ended in a 1-1 tie. Society kicked back to the Buddies to start the second half, but I think the Buddies were still celebrating their amazing first half TD, because the Society stole the ball and scored the go ahead TD. Now the Buddies where REALLY ready to play. Things start poorly for the Heralds when Nobbla chainsaws himself on turn 1. Fortunately he passes the loner test and manages to reroll, staying on the pitch... until injured on the next turn after a re-rolled triple skull by a Black Orc. Meanwhile, the Sluggas, though able to knock down plenty of Chaos Dwarfs, cannot muster any armor breaks. The Heralds matriculate their way down field for a 1-0 lead on the back of Hthark. A timely blitz allows them to recover the ball in the Sluggas backfield and nip in for a second first half TD before the half expires. All was not good for the Heralds however as a turn 8 block seriously injures Hthark. The second half sees the dice begin to warm up a bit for the Sluggas and they manage to seriously injure three more Herald players. A risky run out by a goblin ball carrier goes disastrously wrong however, and allows the Heralds to scoop up the ball and motor downfield for the third and final score. A costly victory for the Chaos Dwarfs ensuring that their run of playing with less than a full team will continue through the final match of the season. But the Dwarves instantly responded, killing a Gutter Runner (who was quickly apo'ed). The first half continued to be a knockdown battle, with each side getting another cas each, but the Young & Bearded soon knocked out a few more rats, and scored on Turn 8. The one-turn attempt from the rats was no good. The second half began with a rock being thrown at the R.A.T.S blitzer, who was stunned from the blow. After some gratuitous passing, the R.A.T.S ran in a touchdown on turn 5. Another rock at the start of the Young & Bearded's offense knocked out the R.A.T.S Thrower, and the Dwarves bashed their way through the rest of the flimsy Skaven line, rushing down the field to score the winning touch down.
