It was a rough start for the Stunties having nearly the entire team K.O.'d but the team was devastated when the star Bertha went out of the game with a broken leg. The demoralizing wasn't finished though as the Bears then managed to kill poor little Gordy, and then with the splintering of the great Maskete Pete legs. He will need to pull a Groot and regrow his legs but it may take some time before he is ready to get back on the pitch. http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Fri, 10 Nov 2017 04:45:03 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1510289103 Match: Dwarves for the Ethical Treatment of Hobgoblins (2) vs. Consortium of Unwanted Nasty Twats (0) Nice Blood Bowl weather all game, but DETH brought the thunder to the CUNTs! The amazons played a good passing game, and were moving fast down the pitch, but couldn't outrun the centaurs. Even with Bertha Bigfist chasing down the bovine they were able to slip away with the ball for two touchdowns. http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Sun, 05 Nov 2017 05:31:36 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1509859896 Match: The Bellevue Beans (0) vs. Stunties' Revenge (2) The Stunties proved to everyone today that you should never underestimate what a halfling can do! The first half was kicked to the halflings who then proceeded to maintain control of the ball through out the half until a mixture of attrition and positioning allowed the Stunties to throw the ball carrier to a safe spot to score at the top of turn 8. Then came the play of the game: spectacular throw teammate touchdown on a blitz that even the Refs were stunned on how fast that happened, they even needed to consult the crystal ball to see if everything was on the up-and-up. Which was real surprise for blood Bowl, when it was ruled to be so. the second half the beans fought hard under the idea of "if you can't win: maim" and they almost managed to put a point on the board but the halflings managed to steal the ball and almost score at the end of the game. 0-2 Halflings http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Sat, 04 Nov 2017 22:03:25 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1509833005 Match: Dwarves for the Ethical Treatment of Hobgoblins (2) vs. F.I.S.T. (1) An exciting game filled with moments worthy of the EBBL highlights reel - two injuries to DETH in the first turn (a KO and a badly hurt minotaur returned to reserves with some help from the apo), Grishnak Blackhoof double-skulling to end his blitz on the bull centaur (and his team had already used it's re-roll that turn), a total of nine chaos players in the KO box during the second half, and a bull centaur intercepting the last pass of the game which had been thrown in a desperate attempt for a tie. http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Mon, 30 Oct 2017 20:02:52 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1509393772 Match: Greenback Sluggas (2) vs. Painter's Palette Box (0) The game began in the sweltering heat. The Amazons started with the ball, and managed to get a short pass to the outside and got behind the slower Orc defense. A Goblin and a Blitzer managed to blitz the runner and knock the ball loose. The ensuing turns saw the Orcs lose two Goblins for the match due to injuries. After consolidating their position, the Orcs formed a cage around the ball-carrying Blitzer and headed up the right side of the pitch. The Amazons made a formidable wall, forcing the Orcs to run the ball up the others side of the field, past the Troll which spent the last two turns staring at the clouds (one kinda looked like him, so it's understandable). They ran the ball into the endzone for a touchdown. After the play the heat took its toll mainly on the Orcs, with them losing 3 players compared to the Amazon's 1. The Amazons ended the half with a vanity pass for XP, and each side had an additional player miss the next drive due to heatstroke. For the second half, the weather cleared and stayed that way for the rest of the match. The orcs were able to form a cage around one of their Goblins, and made a painfully slow march across the field, with the Amazons skillfully dodging out of the way of the Black Orc Blockers to keep the run at bay. Ultimately, it resulted in another touchdown by the Goblin. The Orc's kick was spectacularly bad, with it going out-of-bounds at the starting line on the left side of the field, resulting in a Blitzer on the Amazon team starting with the ball. After a short pass to a receiver in the center of the field, the ball was once again knocked loose. The Amazons sent their best player in to pick up the ball, but was fatally injured by a mighty blow from an Orc blizer. The Orcs picked up the ball and ran it up the right side of the field. On their last turn, the Blitzer with the ball, surrounded by nobody, attempted to launch the ball to the empty field on the other side. He threw the ball to the open sky and missed, fumbling the ball with a natural 1. On the final play, the Amazons sent him out to meet the fans. http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Sun, 29 Oct 2017 01:55:20 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1509242120 Match: Snoho Skulltoofs (1) vs. The Bellevue Beans (1) The classic Orc vs Human back and forth battle. Each team took most of their halves to score and each team caused one injury. http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Mon, 16 Oct 2017 03:47:00 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1508125620 Match: Tecmo Bowlers (0) vs. Bearded Bears (1) There was some hot dwarf on dwarf action in a smelly underground bunker located in Tijuana. It was a rough start for the Bearded Bears taking until turn 8 to score. It was an even rougher second half losing both troll slayers and blitzers to K.O.'s. Unfortunetly for the Tecmo Bowlers it wasn't quite enough to get them to tie it up resulting in a 1-0 Victory for the Bears. http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Tue, 10 Oct 2017 05:49:29 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1507614569 Match: Puget Sound Pestilence (2) vs. The Mighty Quins (3) Before we report on this spectacular game of Blood Bowl, we must acknowledge the passing of Kill St Claire. She was crap as an elf linewoman, let's hope she fares better in the afterlife as a rotter. Now onto the game! It was a perfect day for Blood Bowl at the Ordo Dome. The elves elected to kick first, and instantly lost their journeyman to an expert block from a Nurgle Warrior. This was quickly followed by an injury on blitzer number 7, Blitz Robshaw, who was fortunately saved by the apothecary, who's skills seem to be improving dramatically. While the Pestilence were winning the bashing game, they had a lot of trouble getting hands on the ball, and this proved costly in the first half, as the elves sped to a 2-0 lead, with touchdowns from Grim Visser and Ziggy Stardust respectively. The first half was marked by the aforementioned death of St Claire, who will retake to the field in the next game alongside her murderer. Hopefully they can put their differences aside quickly... Also lost to injury in the first half were elf thrower Danny Flair, who didn't even make one of the 6 completions the Quins were able to somehow pull off despite all the Disturbing Presence. The second half started with a blitz from the Pestilence, who bloodthirstily charged toward the positionals that foolishly chose to stand on the line. Things went terribly for the Quins, who left a gaping hole in the backfield, permitting Pestigor number 8, Crappius to rush to the end zone. The elves got nervous with the score at 2-1, feeling the possibility of a draw coming on. They set up a screen to the right which was thwarted by Caesar, the Nurgle Beast tying up several elves with tentacles. Then for the elf BS! Blitzer number 8, Mauler dodged away from the Pestigor breathing down his neck to catch a pass from Visser. Visser then ran past him out of the Disturbing presence of the Nurgle Warriors who were closing in, and caught a pass from Mauler, just a few yards from the line. The Pestilence did all they could to thwart the TD, but Mauler, who would later be the Quins MVP, dodged in to blitz a rotter, knocked him down, and then ran to the end zone. Visser, who was only one dodge away from a touchdown, decided his team mate had been a good team player this drive, and tossed Mauler the ball for the touchdown. At this point a riot ensued, giving the Pestilence 3 full turns to find the end zone for a consolation TD. The Quins, now 3-1 up and with the game in the bag, decided to run out of harm's way, abandoning lineman number 5 Will Carving to the mercy of 3 Nurgle Warriors and the Beast himself. Carving continued his reputation of being hard to put down, and defied all odds to end the game standing. All that remained was for Gaius Papulous to walk the TD in past the cowardly Quins' positionals. All in all a thrilling game, a highlight of the season so far. Hats off to Chris Burow who was a great sport and extremely tough opponent throughout the game (Chris did not write this!!!) http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Sat, 07 Oct 2017 22:51:14 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1507416674 Match: Thundering Mayhem (1) vs. Bearded Bears (1) In was pushing fest until the Bears decided to to start making fists instead of having a slap fight. Some hobgoblins tried to be elves but instead tripes and hurt themselves. All in all it was a dull 1-1 dwarves v Chorfs push fest. http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Sat, 07 Oct 2017 20:12:36 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1507407156 Match: Tecmo Bowlers (1) vs. The Mighty Quins (2) It was a freezing blizzard at the Ordo Dome today as Tecmo Bowlers hosted The Mighty Quins. The elves were not impressed with their second blizzard game of the season, but were bolstered by the presence of none other than Dolfar Longstride, who, aside from a couple of deep kicks, did absolutely nothing useful all game. The game started with the dwarves electing to kick, and Dolfar gathered up the ball and handed off to Quins thrower Danny Flair. Flair was lucky enough to be just within short pass distance of catcher Marland Scarred, who walked in the 2 turn touchdown. Now the rumbling, stumbling dwarves would have 6 turns to hopefully pull level before the break. Unfortunately the dwarves were having a hard time breaking armor, and had to resort to fouling to get an annoying elf lineman out of the way. The foul resulted in a dwarf blocker being ejected from the game, and only stunning the lineman. This act left a door open for the elves to blitz the ball carrier and number 7, Blitz Robshaw stepped up to the plate, getting a both down on Barry Sanders. The ball popped up to Robshaw, who had the opportunity to run away, closely followed by his assisting catcher. Danny Flair, mentioned earlier, saw this as the opportunity to run up the field and silence the critics of his slow-starting career. Eventually he dodged into the end zone and received a hand off from Robshaw for the touchdown on turn 8 of the first half. Unfortunately for the Quins, while this was going on the dwarves inflicted a couple of casualties, most noticeable on Marland Scarred, who is most definitely scarred now and will miss the next game. Onto the second half. Feeling outdone by being robbed of the ball earlier, Berry Sanders again scooped up the ball and surrounded himself with a wall of muscle and armor. Then came the slow grind up the field. The elves, reduced to 9 players, were forced to just dodge back and create a wall for the approaching cage to deal with. At one point, blitzer Joe Mauler attempted a blitz, but overcome by the scent of the beer on the breath of the dwarf he was attempting to block, he foolishly re-rolled his push result and double skulled, leaving him stunned but buzzed on the field. At one point, Dolfar Longstride (who had just recovered from KO) tried a daring 2-die against on the ball carrier, standing up in the middle of the cage. Sadly he failed, proving that stars are most certainly not infallible. Nuffle laughed and turned his blessing towards the Tecmo Bowlers. Now, all that stood in their way of a touchdown was a blitzer and numerous tackle zones. Here is where troll slayer Ronnie Lott earned his MVP, as he pow'd the blitzer and left Sanders with an easy walk in touchdown on turn 8. Alas, it was too little too late and the game ended 2-1 in favor of The Mighty Quins, who progress to a 2-1 record in the league. Tecmo Bowlers remain 0-3, but proved they don't go down easy. They will continue to become a tougher force game by game. http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblm Sat, 30 Sep 2017 23:13:56 +0000 http://www.everett-bbl.org/obblmindex.php?1506813236 Match: Puget Sound Pestilence (1) vs. The Bellevue Beans (1) The first half favored the Pestilence resulting in a defensive touchdown. (2) Greenback Sluggas get F.I.S.T.ed!!! F.I.S.T. induces a wandering apothecary and a Bloodweiser Babe. Both prove unnecessary as the Sluggas and F.I.S.T. spend most of the match tickling each other. The only excitement comes on attempts to throw goblins, both resulting in injury rolls. Result: 1 badly hurt, 1 dead!
